I got sick.

I wrote this article for an atheist site some friends of mine do.

Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Joh 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Forgive me for writing to you in English. I realize that God has gifted many Romanians with an aptitude for languages, and many of you understand English well. For the rest of you I offer my apologies. There are many wonderful articles on this site written in Romanian.

I’d like to write this article as a testimony of the Living and Powerful God, of whom it is written: “God is love”. I’d like to tell you of His power of love, manifested in His children, as they love one another.

I was recently taken by a virus and very sick. After three days I could take it no more, and we called an ambulance. The hospital is around 10 minutes from where I live, and yet after waiting for the ambulance 3 hours, a Christian friend sacrificed his time and money, to bring me and my wife to the hospital with a taxi. Another Christian friend brought my mother-in-law to baby-sit our daughter. After arriving at the hospital, I was quarantined for 2 nights and 1.5 days. There’s not a lot to do when you’re in quarantine. However, I had much less pain and really enjoyed the rest and quiet.

After my wife’s experience of giving birth here in Bucharest, I have very low expectations of hospitals. I did however have a very comfortable bed. It was interesting and important to note that the bed, and the other beds in the room, were donated by world vision, which is a Christian organization. It was not donated by and atheist charity organization. Without God you do not have true love. Or much of a basis for understanding it for that matter.

When it was time to go home, a Christian woman stayed with our baby, so that my wife could assist me home from the hospital. Upon arriving home, my Christian wife, served and cared for me, even though she is pregnant and has our daughter, therefore making her quite tired.

Many Christians prayed for us and gave us money and medicines. So many asked if there was anything they could do to help. It was very cold and my wife was exhausted, so I asked a brother to do some shopping for us, as I needed some special food in my poor state of health. He traveled from another side of the city, far away, and did the shopping for us. When he entered our door, I saw what bad health he was in. He had a bad cough and should not have risked his life for me like that.

So many Christians called or wrote notes, expressing their love and concern, as well and offers to help, and assurance of their prayers for us. Real Christians do love one another.

What is my point in telling you all this? Here it is: the greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and your neighbor as yourself. Failure to do so is sin and deserves God’s wrath, which will be poured out upon the unloving in hell. Before I was a Christian, I used to tell my girlfriend “I love you” and stuff like that. But what I really meant was I love ME, I want you. It was selfishness pure and simple. You may say, “I know really nice people who are not Christians”. You may, but do you know people who have loved God above all else, and then their neighbor as themselves? People who are ‘loving to others’ are only doing what they are supposed to. This won’t get anyone to heaven. God tells us in the Bible that if we know to do good (ex. Loving others) and don’t do it, it is sin. So when you stand before God on the day of judgment, you will not only be accountable for your transgressions, but for your omissions (stuff you neglected to do). Let’s see if you have any transgressions.

Have you ever….

Lied?

Stolen (regardless of the value and including illegal software etc.)?

Used God’s name (the God who gave you life) in vain?

Had sex outside of marriage? (Jesus said that whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.)

Hated anyone?

Been selfish?

Unthankful?

Had or supported an abortion and therefore committed murder?

Let’s look at your omissions or negligence. Have you always

Loved God above all else?

Loved your neighbor as much as you love yourself?

Done the good that you should have?

Been thankful?

Been honoring to your parents?

This isn’t a balance system where you put your “good” on one side and your bad on the other. Good, is just doing what you’re supposed to, it doesn’t merit you eternal life. Now here is God’s love towards us. We have transgressed and neglected God’s law. We have not loved as we should. We have a conscience and know better. God can therefore judge us and punish us eternally in Hell. That would be good and just of Him. Yet God in love, demonstrated that love, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. We broke and neglected God’s law, Jesus paid our fine. God became a man in the person of Jesus Christ. He always loved God first, and loved His neighbor as He ought. Then He was crucified in our place on the cross. Three days later He rose from the dead. And now lives forever, soon to return.

Based on Christ’s death in our place, you can be justified (Made righteous in the sight of God in a legal way.) God commands you to repent (turn from your sin) and trust in Christ’s blood. Believe the gospel (good news). Believe the love of God towards you. God will give you a new heart that loves Him, and others.

Eze 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Look at the beuty of these verse:

1Jn 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

1Jn 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

1Jn 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

I had the joy of seeing many people who trust in Christ and are able to have confidence that they have passed from death to life, because God has worked in them, and now they love the brethren (other Christians). May that soon be you too.
With much love,

Jonathan DeSeno 1 John 2:5, 1 John 3:1

Ten Reasons To Not Ask Jesus Into Your Heart

I found this to be a very important article written by Todd Friel at www.wretchedradio.com . Please read it in light of the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:6Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Ten Reasons To Not Ask Jesus Into Your Heart
Todd Friel
The music weeps, the preacher pleads, “Give your heart to Jesus. You have a God shaped hole in your heart and only Jesus can fill it.” Dozens, hundreds or thousands of people who want to get their spiritual life on track make their way to the altar. They ask Jesus into their heart.
Cut to three months later. Nobody has seen our new convert in church. The follow up committee calls him and encourages him to attend a Bible study, but to no avail. We label him a backslider and get ready for the next outreach event.
Our beloved child lies in her snuggly warm bed and says, “Yes, Daddy. I want to ask Jesus into my heart.” You lead her in “the prayer” and hope that it sticks. You spend the next ten years questioning if she really, really meant it. Puberty hits and the answer reveals itself. She backslides. We spend the next ten years praying that she will come to her senses.
Telling someone to ask Jesus into their hearts has a very typical result, backsliding. the Bible says that a person who is soundly saved puts his hand to the plow and does not look back because he is fit for service. In other words, a true convert cannot backslide. If a person backslides, he never slid forward in the first place. “If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation.” (II Cor.5) No backsliding there.
Brace yourself for this one: with very few if any exceptions, anyone who asked Jesus into their hearts to be saved…is not. If you asked Jesus into your heart because you were told that is what you have to do to become a Christian, you were mis-informed.
If you have ever told someone to ask Jesus into their heart (like I have), you produced a false convert. Here is why.
1. It is not in the Bible. There is not a single verse that even hints we should say a prayer inviting Jesus into our hearts. Some use Rev. 3:20. To tell us that Jesus is standing at the door of our hearts begging to come in.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock.” There are two reasons that interpretation is wrong.
The context tells us that the door Jesus is knocking on is the door of the church, not the human heart. Jesus is not knocking to enter someone’s heart but to have fellowship with His church.
Even if the context didn’t tell us this, we would be forcing a meaning into the text (eisegesis). How do we know it is our heart he is knocking at? Why not our car door? How do we know he isn’t knocking on our foot? To suggest that he is knocking on the door of our heart is superimposing a meaning on the text that simply does not exist.
The Bible does not instruct us to ask Jesus into our heart. This alone should resolve the issue, nevertheless, here are nine more reasons.
2. Asking Jesus into your heart is a saying that makes no sense. What does it mean to ask Jesus into your heart? If I say the right incantation will He somehow enter my heart? Is it literal? Does He reside in the upper or lower ventricle? Is this a metaphysical experience? Is it figurative? If it is, what exactly does it mean? While I am certain that most adults cannot articulate its meaning, I am certain that no child can explain it. Pastor Dennis Rokser reminds
us that little children think literally and can easily be confused (or frightened) at the prospect of asking Jesus into their heart.
3. In order to be saved, a man must repent (Acts 2:38). Asking Jesus into your heart leaves out the requirement of repentance.
4. In order to be saved, a man must trust in Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31).
Asking Jesus into your heart leaves out the requirement of faith.
5. The person who wrongly believes they are saved will have a false sense of security. Millions of people who sincerely, but wrongly, asked Jesus into their hearts think they are saved but struggle to feel secure. They live in doubt and fear because they do not have the Holy Spirit giving them assurance of salvation.
6. The person who asks Jesus into his heart will likely end up inoculated, bitter and backslidden. Because he did not get saved by reciting a formulaic prayer, he will grow disillusioned with Jesus, the Bible, church and fellow believers. His latter end will be worse than the first.
7. It presents God as a beggar just hoping you will let Him into your busy life. This presentation of God robs Him of His sovereignty.
8. The cause of Christ is ridiculed. Visit an atheist web-site and read the pagans who scoff, “How dare those Christians tell us how to live when they get divorced more than we do? Who are they to say homosexuals shouldn’t adopt kids when tens of thousands of orphans don’t get adopted by Christians?” Born again believers adopt kids and don’t get divorced.
People who ask Jesus into their hearts do. Jesus gets mocked when false converts give Him a bad name.
9. The cause of evangelism is hindered. While it is certainly easier to get church members by telling them to ask Jesus into their hearts, try pleading with someone to make today the day of their salvation. Get ready for a painful response. “Why should I become a Christian when I have seen so called Christians act worse than a pagan?” People who ask Jesus into their hearts give pagans an excuse for not repenting.
10. Here is the scary one. People who ask Jesus into their hearts are not saved and they will perish on the Day of Judgment. How tragic that millions of people think they are right with God when they are not. How many people who will cry out, “Lord, Lord” on judgment day will be “Christians” who asked Jesus into their hearts?
So, what must one do to be saved? Repent and trust. (Heb.6:1) The Bible makes it clear that all men must repent and place their trust in Jesus Christ. Every man does have a “God shaped hole in their hearts,” but that hole is not contentment, fulfillment and peace. Every man’s heart problem is righteousness. Instead of preaching that Jesus fulfills, we must preach that God judges and Jesus satisfies God’s judgment…if a man will repent and place his trust in Him.
If you are reading this and you asked Jesus into your heart, chances are good you had a spiritual buzz for a while, but now you struggle to read your Bible, tithe, attend church and pray. Perhaps you were told you would have contentment, purpose and a better life if you just ask Jesus into your heart. I am sorry, that was a lie.

Let me (Jonathan) add my summary here at the bottom: It is not biblical to "ask Jesus into your heart", instead it is important to see we have sinned against the one and only Holy God. We have sinned, we've lied, we've stolen, we have lived in utter ungratefulness to God the giver of life, and therefore deserve His just punishment in Hell. Yet God in love to us, became a man and died in our place, then He rose from the dead. We broke God's law Jesus paid our fine. And rather than doing some works or religious traditions (like "asking Jesus in to our heart", He commands us to repent and believe the gospel (trust that Christ has paid the penalty for your sins). Call on the name of the Lord, but don't make some prayer your trust, trust in God's love for you manifested at the cross of Christ. Don't trust in your works, personal goodness, sinners prayer, etc., trust in Christ to justify you, and God will regenerate you, and you will have biblical assurance of Salvation, not some pathetic hope that you were sincere enough when you prayed that prayer and asked Jesus in to your heart. But strong assurance from God's Spirit and Word. See 1 John for many verses on assurance of salvation. With much love,
Jonathan DeSeno 1 John 2:5
Acts 20:20And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, 21Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Idolitry in Action

Romans 1:18-25 (King James Version)

18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen

A Latte Lounge where folks can contemplate how missional it would be to get the same hybrid car their neighbor has: $75,000.

Unity

Tuning Pianos
Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same fork are automatically tuned to each other? They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each one must individually bow.
So one hundred worshippers meeting together, each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be were they to become "unity" conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship. Social religion is perfected when private religion is purified.

Todd Friel-13 Evangelistic Phrases That Produce False Conversions

This is great.

Churches divide over carpet color, building additions and budgets. In the meantime, our fellow church members are going to hell by the boat load.

A.W. Tozer said, “It is my opinion that tens of thousands of people, if not millions, have been brought into some kind of religious experience by accepting Christ, and they have not been saved.”

D. James Kennedy said, “The vast majority of people who are members of churches in America today are not Christians. I say that without the slightest contradiction. I base it on empirical evidence of twenty-four years of examining thousands of people.”

Friend, we argue over so many petty things. May I suggest we have lost sight of the most important debate of all, “What is salvation?” My theology teaches that salvation happens when a man repents and places his trust in Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21).

I would like to present thirteen ways that we have re-defined how a person becomes a true convert. Have we done this intentionally? Certainly not. We have simply created lingo that has a grain of truth in Scripture, but it is so open to interpretation that the un-converted understand it in ways that lead to false conversions.

1. Make Jesus your Lord and Savior. We cannot make Jesus our Lord and Savior, He is our Lord and Savior. We are living in rebellion to Him and He commands us to repent and trust Him.

2. Ask Jesus into your heart. Does Jesus come into our hearts? Yes He does. The question is, “How does He get in there?” It is not by simply asking Him in; it is by repentance and faith.

3. Just believe in Jesus. The demons believe and they tremble. We must repent and trust.

4. You have a God-shaped hole in your heart and only Jesus can fill it. We have far more than a hole that needs to be filled so we can feel complete; we have a wretched, deceitful, sinful heart that needs cleansing. Repentance and faith applies the blood of the lamb for that cleansing.

5. Accept Jesus. Whoa. We need to accept Jesus? This is entirely backward. We need Jesus to accept us–and He will, if we repent and trust.

6. Make a decision for Jesus. Decisional regeneration puts man in the driver’s seat of salvation. When we repent and trust, Jesus decides to save us. That puts Him in the driver’s seat…where He demands.

7. It is easy to believe. While the formula of repentance and faith sounds simple, a complete surrendering of self in repentance is anything but easy. It’s hard.

8. God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. The only promises for the convert are trials, temptation and persecution. If that is how you define a wonderful life, fine. Otherwise we must command all men everywhere to repent and trust.

9. Come to Jesus just as you are. We should come to Jesus just as the sinners we are, but He also expects a broken heart and contrite spirit demonstrated in repentance and faith.

10. Come to Jesus and you will receive forgiveness of sins and ________________ (fill in the blank with money, health, a healed marriage). Jesus didn’t promise healed marriages; in fact He promised broken homes because we would divide when one member repents and trusts.

11. Come to Jesus and experience love, joy, peace. Do we get the fruit of the Spirit upon conversion? Yes. But if we come seeking the gifts and not the giver, we will receive neither. Instead, we must repent and trust.

12. Jesus is the missing piece. Um, no, the God of the universe is not the missing piece, He demands that He is the center of our lives when we repent and trust.

13. Jesus is better than fame and fortune. That is an understatement, and frankly, it is insulting. Saying Jesus is better than money is like saying that a steak dinner is better than eating a dung hill. He defies comparison and we trivialize the Son of God. Instead, we should be pleading with all men everywhere to repent and trust.

If I showed up at your door with a can of grapefruit juice and a roll of paper towels and offered to change your oil, you would say, “No thanks.” If we wouldn’t let someone mess with our car using the wrong method, why do we allow the Gospel to be presented so ambiguously?

Would you let a doctor operate on your child who was “sort of” accurate? The salvation of men is far more important than an appendix.

I beg you to consider how you share the Gospel. You and I know what we are talking about when we use these phrases, but do the unregenerate? Is it possible that we have so many backsliders today because they never slid forward in the first place? Is it because they were never told that they must repent and trust?

If we are willing to debate shag verse plush in the fellowship hall, shouldn’t we be more concerned about an issue that has eternal consequences?

Deborah 13: Servant of God

Andrea and I really, really where blessed and challenged by this. This documentary is very worthy of your time. This girl in the video reminds me of my sister Anna. In watching this we were so encouraged and challenged, and worshiped God for what He has done for us in giving His son to die for our sins. O worship God, for He is worthy. Even though the documentary seems to have a non Christian bias, there is such a night and day contrast between Deborah, and the others who say evil. I believe just in her pureness she convicts the world, whether they will say it or not. I found these verses very relevant.
Mark 9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 9:44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 9:45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 9:46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 9:47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: 9:48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 9:49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. 9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

A facut Dumnezeu ceva pentru tine? - Parc IOR (Bucuresti)

Rom 1:19 Fiindcă ce se poate cunoaşte despre Dumnezeu le este descoperit în ei, căci le-a fost arătat de Dumnezeu.
Rom 1:20 În adevăr, însuşirile nevăzute ale Lui, puterea Lui veşnică şi dumnezeirea Lui se văd lămurit, de la facerea lumii, când te uiţi cu băgare de seamă la ele în lucrurile făcute de El. Aşa că nu se pot dezvinovăţi;
Rom 1:22 S-au fălit că sunt înţelepţi, şi au înnebunit;
Rom 1:23 şi au schimbat slava Dumnezeului nemuritor într-o icoană care seamănă cu omul muritor, păsări, dobitoace cu patru picioare şi târâtoare.
Rom 1:24 De aceea, Dumnezeu i-a lăsat pradă necurăţiei, să urmeze poftele inimilor lor; aşa că îşi necinstesc singuri trupurile;
Rom 1:25 căci au schimbat în minciună adevărul lui Dumnezeu şi au slujit şi s-au închinat făpturii în locul Făcătorului, care este binecuvântat în veci! Amin.
Claudiu from church made this, it's really nice. If you understand English the song at the end of this is excellent.

Lacking Gratefulness (root cause of atheism (loving sin))

Romans 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal powere and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23And changed the flory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds , and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Living Waters University: Anthony and friend

Ray Comfort witnesses to two young men. It seems God was doing a work in one of their hearts. Emeal ("E.Z.") Zwayne is doing the chalk talk at the beginning.

TIP: One of these two young men walked away when he found out that I was a Christian. He than came back, joined in the conversation and it becomes evident that God was doing a work in his heart. Please keep both of them in prayer.

Is the Gospel real enough to you, for you to tell someone?

Very convicting. May God give us more grace. The pictures are of a brother doing what this video talks about. To God be the glory.
James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

New Year in Bucuresti

Casa de Poporului was lit up to look like the Romanian flag.

New Years Fireworks

We're a good ways from People's Palace but we could still see good.

It was like being in a war, fireworks exploding everywhere.

Posted by PicasaMatthew 24:
1 ¶ And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 ¶ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 ¶ Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
